Marklein’s Policies Hurt Monroe Schools and

Lead to Higher Taxes

This article, which came out earlier this week in the Monroe Times, highlights a trend which has become all too common in communities around Wisconsin. With the state cutting aid to its public schools while sending tax dollars to private unaccountable voucher schools,  Monroe has been left with no choice but to raise the tax levy. Wisconsin Eye: Round 2

Wisconsin Eye provides a very valuable service for voters of this state. Too many media outlets focus solely on races for federal or statewide office. Wisconsin Eye, however, provides voters with coverage of  local candidates which might otherwise be hard to find. Thank you so much to the staff at Wisconsin Eye, keep up the great work!

Standing Against Special Interests

Friends, many of you have been receiving mail pieces, as well as seeing and hearing commercials on TV and radio which can only be described as misleading at best and downright shameful at worst. Not surprisingly the advertisements have been coming from those notorious shadowy special interest groups which we have heard so much about lately. We are happy to announce, however, that these have been backfiring. In the last few days I have received many calls and letters from community members who know the truth of the situation and who are outraged by these attempts to drag my name through the mud.  I also received some letters from constituents who want voters to know the truth. Hopefully they will be appearing as a Letter to the Editor in your local community paper but we liked them so much we wanted to make sure everyone has a chance to read them. Click on our new Letters to the Editor Link to read what our fellow community members have to say.

Assembly District 51

“As I see it, the most important qualities needed to effectively represent the 51st Assembly district are: intelligence, independence, level-headedness, tenacity, and understanding of the issues. Mo possesses all in abundance. We will be well-served indeed to have her represent us.”
-John Simonson, Professor Emeritus, UW-Platteville
